The inaugural Blanc de Noirs release under the Lightfoot & Wolfville sparkling portfolio, this wine is composed of 84% Pinot Meunier and 16% Pinot Noir, hand-harvested from our estate vineyard in Avonport - the "Oak Island Vineyard". The majority (89%) of the base wine was fermented in stainless steel, with 11% fermented and aged five months in used (neutral) French oak barrique. Aging of 42 months en tirage, followed by a further 28 months of bottle aging post disgorgement, has provided layers of depth and nuance.

Recipient of the 2022 Lieutenant Governor's Award for Excellence in Nova Scotia Wines and a Gold Medal at the National Wine Awards of Canada.

Tasting Notes

Pale gold in the glass with fine, lively effervescence. The nose is elegantly, yet intensely perfumed with notes of fleshy red fruit, wild flowers and just baked biscuit.

The palate is beautifully balanced with richness, creamy mid-palate weight and bright acidity, providing energy and length. Enjoy with a croque madame on buttery brioche for a decadent pairing experience.
