2020 Terroir Series Chardonnay
Our Terroir Series celebrates small-lot, single-varietal wines with a strong sense of place and tidal influence. The label imagery reflects this theme and helps tell the story of the land each wine comes from. The butterflies, milkweed, baby bird, spider and cow horns represent our biodynamic farming practices and our mission to promote and protect biodiversity. The eye represents the human element within our farm individuality and our intention to work in harmony with the natural world around us.
A complete departure in style from our beloved "Ancienne" Chardonnay, this small lot, single vineyard wine is stainless steel fermented and aged, providing a leaner, even fresher expression of Annapolis Valley Chardonnay. From Oak Island Vineyard (Avonport) fruit, certified organic (Ecocert) and biodynamic (Demeter), and made following a low intervention philosophy in the cellar, with wild yeast fermentation and minimal sulphur.
