2021 Terroir Series Scheurebe
Highly aromatic with inviting primary fruit flavours, Scheurebe is a German vinifera variety - a Riesling / wild vine cross - that is relatively rare in North America, with just ten acres planted across Canada.
Our three acres of estate-grown Scheurebe are located in Avonport, where cool Minas Basin breezes produce unique aromatic whites with intense fruit character, salinity and bright acidity. The 2021 was hand-harvested on the 29th-30th of October, crushed and destemmed, and macerated on skins overnight. Fermentation took place in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts.

Tasting Notes
Light straw gold in the glass. On the nose, a bouquet of juicy, ripe fruit - peach, mango and melon - is layered with briny, wet stone and honeyed lime. The lush, mid-palate roundness is juxtaposed by vibrant acidity, finishing in freshness and depth.
Pairing suggestions include curries, schnitzel, washed rind or blue cheeses and prosciutto with peach.
