Fauna is a fruit-driven, unoaked red blend with a bright, berried lushness and a lightness in structure indicative of our ultra cool-climate in Nova Scotia. A partial carbonic maceration contributes amplified fruit flavours, velvety texture and immediate drinkability.

Tasting Notes

Deep violet hue in the glass. Juicy berry, black plum and violet notes lead the nose with earthy undertones reminiscent of anise and forest floor. Light to medium bodied, fresh and and bright, with dark fruit flavours and light tannins.

Best served slightly chilled. Pairing suggestions include coq au vin, lamb tagine, butter chicken and dishes featuring roasted sweet potato or butternut squash.
