Horse-Drawn Vineyard Tour

Horse-Drawn Vineyard Tour

Please note that our Horse-Drawn Vineyard Tours have concluded for the summer season. We look forward to a second season of these tours, beginning in Fall 2026. Stay tuned!

Step back in time and take in the beauty of the Annapolis Valley at a slower pace. Our Horse-Drawn Vineyard Tours offer a unique and memorable way to explore Lightfoot & Wolfville’s Home Farm Vineyard - where rolling vineyards, gentle Bay of Fundy breezes, and sustainable farming practices come together in harmony.

Enjoy a tranquil carriage ride through the Home Farm Vineyard pulled by our team of majestic Clydesdale horses and guided by John, our Wagon Boss. Learn about our organic & biodynamic farming practices, the history of our Home Farm Vineyard, and the terroir that shapes our wines & winegrowing ethos. Following the tour, unwind and savour a light snack featuring our house-made chips and dips, paired with a glass of wine or non-alcoholic option. The experience is approximately 45 minutes in length, featuring a 30 minute horse-drawn vineyard tour.

Our horses

Meet our team of Clydesdale horses - Sam, Eva and Kimberly - who are very special members of our farm. John, our Wagon Boss, is the leader of our Clydesdale team.

The Clydesdale breed is the pride of Scotland and hails from the River Clyde in Lanarkshire. The name “Clydesdale” pays homage to the region where these horses first emerged, dating back to the mid-18th century. Clydesdales have been traditionally used for agricultural work, wartime service, and are more recently recognizable through the Budweiser Clydesdales and other parade hitches.

With "gentle giant" temperaments, each of our horses has a story - and a personality that shines the moment you meet them.
