2021 Terroir Series Chardonnay

Our Terroir Series celebrates small lot, single-varietal wines with a distinct sense of place. The label imagery reflects this theme and helps to tell the story of the unique
vineyard sites featured. On the Terroir Series Chardonnay label, the butterflies, milkweed, baby bird, spiders and cow horn represent our biodynamic farming practices, and our commitment to promote biodiversity within our farm ecosystem. The eye represents the human element of our farm individuality, and our intention to work in
harmony with the natural world around us.

This is a single-vineyard bottling with all grapes hand-harvested on the 23rd of October from our organic and biodynamic “Oak Island Vineyard” in Avonport, Nova
Scotia. Whole cluster pressed and wild fermented in stainless steel, without malolactic fermentation, for a steely style of Chardonnay with a lively intensity and purity of
fruit character. Aged an additional year in bottle prior to release (bottled September 21st 2022).

Tasting Notes

Pale golden-yellow hue in the glass. On the nose, crisp Granny Smith apple and Meyer lemon zest are interlaced with hints of lemon balm, apricot and flint. The palate is
precise, linear and dry, with naturally high acidity and lively intensity. Briny, saline-driven flavours provide refreshing length.

Pairing suggestions include shellfish, especially oysters, fish and chips, creamy seafood pastas, seared scallops with pork belly, potato and leek soup, and soft, tangy cheeses.
